Description
Sun control paint for spraying on plastic glazing
The sun control paint for spraying on plastic glazing effectively repels unpleasant heat, glare, and UV radiation. Plastic glazing and double-wall sheets exposed to the sun are transformed into heat-reduced and glare-free surfaces. The excellent adhesion and abrasion resistance of the frosted white coating ensures a long service life and easy cleaning.
The sun protection coating was specially developed for coating plastic glazing, such as polycarbonate sheets. Typical areas of application are skylights, strip lights, and plastic roof glazing in industrial buildings, production rooms, and greenhouses. It is applied with a spray gun using a low-pressure process.
Very good adhesion to numerous plastic sheets
✔ The sun protection coating adheres easily to even and uneven plastic glazing and double-wall sheets made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate sheets (PC), Plexiglas (PMMA), Macrolon and Lexan.
✔ For other plastic glazing with scratch-resistant coatings, adhesion tests must be carried out before application. Coating is not possible on polyethylene or polyamide mixtures.

Application of the special coating with a spray gun
• Perform a rough cleaning of the surface with conventional glass cleaner and plenty of water. Then perform a fine cleaning with glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth. Next, mix the paint and apply within 8-10 hours, depending on the ambient temperature.
• Spray the dry surface with a low-pressure spray gun at a temperature of at least 5 °C. Apply in one direction only, do not cross-coat. Hold the spray gun at a distance of approx. 30 to 40 cm. Apply a thin layer and spray again in the same direction after 10 minutes.
• Tip: Protect the coating from rain, dew, and frost during the drying time so that the paint can dry thoroughly. Detailed instructions for use are included free of charge with every delivery. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by email or phone.
