Description
Very good compromise between sun control and daylight
The sun control film DSS 330 Silver medium exterior is self-adhesive and is installed to the exterior side of window panes. Compared to the film model DSS 220, it has a reduced mirror effect on the outside. When viewed from the inside – with a permanent clear view of the outside – a tint in medium silver grey of the window film is noticeable. The daylight permeability is pleasantly high. In bright sunlight, annoying sun glare is reduced by 63%. The DSS 330 model offers a very good compromise between heat protection and daylight for use in residential and commercial buildings.
Combines energy efficiency and living comfort
With 66% heat protection, sunlight on the window is pleasantly reduced. The result is a permanently cool interior atmosphere that meets the highest standards of living comfort and indoor climate. The energy efficiency of the installed window glazing is sustainably increased through retrofitting. Energy and electricity costs for air conditioning and ventilation systems can be saved permanently as a result of the lower utilization. This has a positive effect on the building’s CO² emissions and protects the environment.
Resistant to external weather influences
The well-tempered solar flat glass film was developed specifically for exterior installation: It is permanently resistant to external weather influences and has a scratch-resistant surface. This enables simple and easy cleaning with water and conventional glass cleaning agents.

Long durability and manufacturer’s guarantee
The model DSS 330 has a durability of 10 years or more when used on vertical exterior glazing (normal Central European climate). When installed to slanted exterior glazing, the durability is reduced accordingly due to the higher environmental impact.
Regardless of durability a manufacturer’s guarantee of 7 years for vertical and 4 years for inclined glass surfaces is granted. The guarantee applies to peeling, yellowing and demetallization when the edges of the film are sealed with silicone.
Retrofitting the window film in a few steps
The bubble-free retrofitting of the window film is carried out using the so-called wet adhesive process. Thoroughly clean the surface to be glued and spray it with some installation fluid. Peel off the protective film on the back, spray the adhesive side and attach it to the window. Using a squeegee, smooth everything out from the middle without any bubbles and wipe it dry, and you’re done. Any white discoloration of the adhesive will disappear within a few days.

Instructions: Ordering linear meters, cuttings & rolls
In just a few clicks you can decide whether you want to order linear meters, millimeter cuttings or whole rolls!
Shopping linear meters from the roll
Example: The film is available as linear meter from the roll in roll widths of 0.91 m, 1.22 m and 1.52 m. You need 2.50 linear meters from a 1.22 m wide film roll.
Step 1: Select the roll width “1.22 m” at “LINEAR METERS”.
Step 2: Enter “2.50” in the field left next to “Add to cart”.
Finally: Click on “Add to cart”. Done.
You buy 2.50 linear film meters in one piece with a width of 1.22 meters. Linear meters are cut individually from a roll and delivered as a short roll in one piece. You are billed for the linear meters ordered.
Ordering millimeter cuttingss
Please take the width and height of your window measured from rubber to rubber, minus 4 mm of leeway all around. Example: You have 2 windows sized 1.40 m wide and 2.00 m high. The correct cutting size then is 139,6 cm width x 199,6 cm height.
Step 1: Enter “139,6” at width and “199,6” at height at “CUTTINGS”.
Step 2: Enter “2” at “Add to cart”.
Finally: Click on “Add to cart”. Done.
You then buy 2 pieces of film cuttings with the desired size of 139,6 width and 199,6 cm height. The ordered film and € 5.00 for the cutting are billed.
Have whole film rolls delivered
Rolled goods (25, 31 or 50 linear meters in one piece depending on the film model) are whole film rolls. If you purchase whole rolls, you benefit from attractive volume discounts. To do this, please enter the desired numbers of roll pieces at WHOLE ROLLS. You also can send us an email to service@vonkuester.de. We will then send you an offer that you can then order. Cutting whole rolls to a specific roll width is also possible on request, please contact us.
Free film sample
If you wish we send you free film samples by post. This way you can easily test different window films before ordering. The sample is the size of an envelope (approx. 10 x 20 cm).
